How did you get into Pilates?
I discovered Pilates 13 years ago after having four children, and it quickly became a transformative practice for me. Having never enjoyed going to the gym, I was delighted to find how much I loved using the Pilates equipment. What really resonated with me was how the focus shifted away from appearance, muscle tone, or the intensity of the exercise. Instead, it emphasised the mind-body connection, which was mind-blowing for me.
What do you love about Pilates:
After years of feeling disconnected from my own body, Pilates offered exactly what I needed, a deeper, more meaningful connection to myself.
My teaching style is both curious and mindful, creating an environment where clients feel deeply connected to both their body and mind. Through thoughtful guidance and an emphasis on awareness, I encourage each individual to explore their movements, fostering a sense of presence and understanding throughout the practice. This approach helps clients tune into their bodies, cultivating a balanced connection that enhances both their physical and mental well-being.
Your experience with Pilates:
Pilates has been instrumental in helping me reconnect with my body after having four children, especially after experiencing some traumatic births. It not only restored my faith
in my body’s ability to heal and recover but has also given me a youthful bounce in my step!
If you are an early bird, I teach a reformer class at 8am on a Saturday and 8.30am on a Tuesday! We also have lots of clients who nip out on their lunch break – they often comment how much more focused and productive they are after their lunchtime pilates fix!
